Simple BG like grass and sky and some rocks maybe would be $50, vague jungle/single main tree + simple plants around it would be around $100, then full detailed cave interior with wall murals, rafiki's tree with all his gourds and shaman stuff, or detailed jungle/waterfall with lots of plants and vegetation OR scenes with BG crowd with minimal details and not actually drawn out characters would be $200+ on a case by case basis.
Flat colored/ simple/no BG
$60 - First character
$40-$50 - Additional Characters
$0-$50 - no/Simple BG
Flat colored will just get simple BGs as an optional backdrop, otherwise it'll be white or a simple color gradient to not be, well, bland white.
Sketches/Sketched BG
$30 - First Character
$30 - Additional Characters
$0-$10 - no/Sketched BG
Sketched BG's for me tend to be messy/loose sketches with minor detail as needed.
