AI help please

Okay so I've finally been dabbling with some of the AI things after seeing a big improvement in art. And I kinda have no idea what I'm doing.

I've only been messing with what's free, but I get the things that the anti-ai people first made fun of: Multi limbs, fused body parts, lol-levels of wtf anatomy.

Can I get some tips on what to use, what to say or....well anything really? Because as silly as the screwed up parts are, I do want try and do what other people have been able to do.

Edit:  This journal was asking 'How do I do things with AI?'; not 'Should I use AI?'  I've already made a journal stating my views on the subject.

Let people enjoy things, okay?

Stable Diffusions is what I use, this video is the one that I used on how to install everything.

Main models and LoRAs can be found at https://civitai.com/ and there are quite a few here on IB.
Main models are used to get a general style, and LoRAs are specifically trained secondary models for specific characters or poses/body parts. There are also alot of add-ons that can be used too like Open Pose which will generate characters in custom poses for example.

The install video shows where to put all the files. Its alot of trial and error but its a fun to just play around with it.
If you don't have a really beefy GPU it can take a while to generate images at higher resolutions

I also second, Don't use AI. It's a slap in the face of real artists and been proven AI art uses other people's own art to output created images. AI art and AI artists are a complete blight.

is right. That is a good place to start. I'll also add. ignore the anti-Ai crowd like the other comments. do what you want if you enjoy it.

There is legit reason to be against AI art. I don't know why you get huffy and puffy on the defense when it's called out.

I find it funny that you're calling it art while saying it's not art.
Anyway, I told them to ignore the haters and do what they enjoy. it's not bad advice.

Have you thought about asking AI for help?

I know you're probably screwing around,  but that might be a possible thing to do now XD

The immature whiny baby comments were to be expected. People really love telling other people what to do, huh. I guess they love screaming at the ocean trying to make the waves stop.

I know it's not free, but I'll swear by NovelAI's newest furry model, if you wanted to give it a shot. Most generators I've played around with lose their mind with anything beyond solo creations, but this one has consistently understood my vision and manages to handle multiple characters really well. Along with inpainting tricks and then using Adobe Lightroom to touch up color and lighting on a refined image, it's the most satisfied I've ever been with generation. I also get far more style variety than the typical ultra realistic masterpieces that AI typically puts out; the ones that are so incredibly detailed that it extends into uncanny valley territory.

Here's a question.  Is it really bad to use AI when it's my own art that I'm using to train it?  Legitimate question as that's all I've been doing.

All have been personal pictures that I haven't been posting up.

That's a good question. Then that's fine. if its for personal use. You are using it as a tool, not a replacement for your own work. Also nothing wrong with using AI  for reference. Just be careful sometimes the anatomy is borked.
