Female Character's Age - Tails' Age = Hotness Score
Despite the fact that most of the characters have cannon ages, a lot of writers and artists tend to either age them up or give them unique ages. So for example, if Tails is 16 in a story and he's paired up with a 24yo Rouge the Bat, the mathematical equation that you would use is…
24 - 16 = 8
You then take the result of this number and use it to determine the hotness ranking based on this diagram below...
Good = Any Negative Number Great = 0 Awesome = 1-5 Outstanding = 6-10 Amazing = Any Number Over Ten
So if the score of Tails X Rouge is 8, then it receives a hotness ranking of "Outstanding."

Now we'll move onto more complicated equations. This is for when Tails is paired up with more than one female character or even a straight up harem. For this equation, you must add up the ages of each female character, subtract Tails' age, then divide the result by the number of females he's being paired with. So, now the equation will look something like this…
Female 1's Age + Female 2's Age - Tails Age ÷ Number of Females
So as an example, if Tails is 18 and he's being paired with a 22yo Amy Rose, a 26yo Rouge the Bat and a 38yo Vanilla the Rabbit, then the equation will be…
(22 + 26 + 38) - 18 = 68 68 ÷ 3 = 22.666666…
