A few years ago, someone told me, "Hey, if you can't post on FurAffinity, try taking your art in a new direction." It struck me as a little glib, but sure, let's give that a shot.
This is Whack 'Em Smack 'Em Byrons, an action game for the ColecoVision that brings to mind carnival games like whack a mole. The difference, of course, is Byron, who appears in each of the nine holes. Bop 'em on the head with your PEEK-0 hammer, but avoid the butts, and also the bombs!
Why ColecoVision? There's a BASIC compiler available for that system now. I could just as easily make it for the SG-1000 or the MSX... it's all the same crap, really. Also, I needed something to occupy my mind during a tough time in my life, and this fits the bill.
Oh, by the way. There's no sound yet. Anyone know of a good SN76489 sound chip programmer? (Er, probably not in furry circles.)
I'm learning Furnace Tracker and, last time I checked, it can make songs for that sound chip. I gotta check again to make sure. *checks* Yes, it can: Sega PSG (SN76489-like), both mono and stereo. I presume it can export the file into VGM format, which can be used in a ROM for that system. But you would need to find a way to use such file in your game. And, like I said, I'm still learning Furnace, my music done in it is far from ideal.

Thanks for the response. I'm really hoping someone else will do that work for me, but if they don't come through, I won't have any other option but to do it myself. God, I feel like the hen who makes the bread in the old fable, except nobody really cares if they can't have the bread I made. There's no hunger for my bread. It's aggravating.
I'll have to do more research on Furnace Tracker... you know, tutorials and the like. Right now I'm exhausted from making the game and exhausted from prolonged mental fatigue.
