Angst in Art?

I'm noticing a high amount of gore, non-con, molestation, rip-and-chew, tears and anguish, in the Popular Submissions section lately... Just a lot of pain and sadness in the art. I wonder why. It's concerning.

Same here. I never understodd why people like it to see characters raped or even killed, especially cubs. Even moreshocking for me are the comments underneath such pictures

Sadism, revenge, power trips are on the rise, idk. People feel powerless so they turn the tables in their fantasies maybe?

Edit: I saw molestation was on the list. I think molestation is a kind of situational aesthetic rather than a glorification of non-con. How do you interpret molestation?
