Hey guys
[TLDR]
My game is getting too complicated to list every prompt for images contained in a video, and in some screenshots. What are some good alternatives to continue showcasing it? Also, which should I use, SubscribeStar or Patreon?
[Full]
As I'm continuing to develop Valentine City Sinners, I'm fast approaching the impass where posting literally every prompt of every object on screen and in videos (backgrounds, cards, characters, etc.) will be preclusively difficult. I've talked a bit about it with admin but the ruleset is what it is and I don't think there's a proper understanding of the development process. Frankly, even if there were, the scope of the project I'm working on is well beyond the typical InkBunny reality.
So this leads to the simple question, how would you guys like me to post updates? Right now I have the basics of the card game set up with an initial enemy AI, some card effects, damage, etc. I've also started on an event sequencer for dialogue and other events, I started a choice list for locations, etc. There's a lot of progress being made on the code side, a bit on the content side as well, but eventually I'll run out of code and it'll mostly be content updates from there.
But the problem remains, showcasing it is a chore and a timesink on a project of this magnitude, and in some cases it's unfeasable, like the AI music I'm now started to implement. So I would love some ideas you guys have on this.
Eventually the goal will be to set up a SubscribeStar or a Patreon, where I'll provide regular updated builds. I'll also keep a public demo available on Itch.io, which will be a version of the game behind by a decent amount (every 6 months of dev, advance the public build by a few months).
Speaking of, which platform would you guys prefer, SubscribeStar or Patreon (or other)? Is a game like the one I'm developing (card game meets Persona people interaction with AI art) even something you guys are interested in supporting? Please let me know.
Thank you very much!
