.You've heard his name, you've seen his artwork, and chances are, more often than not, you've enjoyed it heavily. I know I have.
Backlash has given selflessly to the furry art community for decades now, despite rising costs, some seriously bitchy customers, and undue high stress. I wasn't even going to tell anyone about what I'm going to say now, but considering the situation, I believe that this act of generosity is something I can no longer keep just between us. That commission I was talking about that I'm in the process of posting on FA? I didn't even have the money for it originally. And between my paycheck only coming monthly and an urgent trip I had to make to see my father in the hospital, I couldn't pay him for the picture for almost half a fucking year. Sure enough, he finished it, sent it to me and just told me to take my time. No complaints, no reports, none of it. I was so shocked and touched, that when the dust settled and I had my family life back in control, I paid him double.
THAT is the kind of hospitality that this artist showed, to a brand new customer no less. A measure of compassion and understanding that he'd likely show to any member in need.
And it's time to return the favor, and urgently.
Earlier this week I was informed of a health emergency that can be proven lethal if not handled ASAGDMFP. He needs to have his wisdom teeth removed under the threat of sepsis, which can be fatal. He needs the money for this procedure, badly. I'm doing what I can now by spreading the word, and when my check comes in I'm sure as hell donating to his fund. I implore all of you out there; I know plenty of you watch my profile, of which I am extremely grateful for...if you can spare it, please give what you can. It doesn't have to be much, anything helps. I'm on a machine that pumps blood in my heart asking total strangers for a transplant and I'm still giving some money when I get it.
