stress.... any advice?

Work and a angry response from a friend or "who i thought was my friend" have really stressed me out.  That added to college and my
incedent, is definatly not a good thing for me.   Espically When im a Security Officer.   How do i calm down and reduce the stress?   I feel like punching a wall!

seriously though, just find something you enjoy doing :O i find it easiest myself to play a game and just fuck around doing random stuff, which almost always works, cuz the weirdest things happen that way :D

sadly i have a problem with anger so i just take pills thats makes me feel drosey lol subscribed to me from my doc

I usually play ego shooter games until the major anger and stress fade. Afterwards i listen to some relaxing music or take a shower. That calms me down^^

have you ever played paint ball it is fun and it helps you get too shoot people with out killing them and besides there are FPS's and tons of games out there but first of all i would suggest is to sit and drink a ice cold glass of water then distract your self with stuff and you find stress fades fast that way

video games are always a great vent. A bath also helps sometimes. If its a constant long term thing you can talk to your doctor, i had anger issues with little reason so im on some mild anti depressants and it helps a lot.

Exercise (walking and such), try not to drink alcohol, Change of scenery like maybe go to a zoo for a day, a long hot shower or hot tub. Try to distance yourself from the cause of your stress and relax.

for me its to take a break, space yourself a little from that which stresses you. Go outside for walks, work out a bit, visit a park or a library, hang out with people who make you happy, that kind of thing. Works wonders for me when I go to the swimming pool and just swim for hours X3

Well I think a lot of the others have made good suggestions. Which works best for you kind of depends on your personal interests.  And you gotta be able to let go of the thoughts that are stressing you and just let yourself enjoy whatever it is you choose to do.

  For me, taking a break, usually consists of video games or walking with my dog or g oing to the creek--we live on a mountain though so granted its probably more peaceful than a town setting.

I am stressed on roughly a daily basis either by brother or grandmother and I wanna hurt them both sometimes but never do because I know it's wrong too. So the way I deal with the stress is play video games, play my fave music, watch a movie I like or just take off on my moped to see a movie in theaters even if Ive seen it already. But do whats best for you *Hugs*

stress is different for everyone. I work in a high stress environment myself. I work in a call center that specializes in Mortgage servicing for a number of companies. Personally It's mentally and sometimes physically exhausting hearing so many tales of woe as well as so many people unwilling to understand they very well are responsible for their own mistakes.

For me I lose myself in my hobbies a lot. D&D some weekends with friends... painting mini's for warhammer... play a bit of World of warcraft... or mincraft's technic. Minecraft can be a really good stress killer if you can find a friend to play with and just build stuff

gyming it out would be good or a jog around somewhere quiet would be good.

stress release can be as simple as sitting in a quiet place taking deep breath and breath out slowly....
if your more violent type , go to the gym and gym the shit out of everything.

One thing that helps me is stopping a moment, taking a very big step back & looking at the big picture. Perspective helps you see how some issues aren't as bad as you thought they were, and can completely nullify stress on certain things. Plus it will make you happy about other things you probably don't even think about regularly.

For example, I've been stressing about some things here on IB because I keep seeing some people complain & leave. After sleeping on it I've realized that there are always more people joining than leaving, and it's not the job of the staff to deal with peoples inability to handle art they may not like. Plus this is just one art community, like most websites it's a luxury website of sorts and isn't really important on the grand scheme of things. Even if it disappeared tomorrow there would be several other places to gather and share art. Of course I hope it doesn't disappear as I like it here, but I just really need to stop caring so much about things that aren't that important.
