Hey everyone, sorry I've been quiet on the comm front for a bit. Usually if there's something good to say, I share it, and if not, I don't. To be transparent, I ran into a significant delay with the artist on the 1st comm. This happened b/c I chose someone I hadn't worked with before and wanted to give them a shot. Well, things happened and we had a substantial delay on the comm. This is not a blame game but I will say I made the mistake of not starting with someone I worked with before. Rookie mistake tbh, especially with other people's money.
The money is not lost or gone, the half that hasn't been paid is still sitting in my paypal, waiting to go to the artist when we reach the final version. I bring this up b/c I've been posting a lot of art lately all over the place and wanted to make sure people still knew where the money went/is. If I can't deliver, I'll refund folks, I still have my own cash flow I can dip into.
This is also a post to say I won't be continuing with this endeavor after the 2 initial ideas are completed. It's just so much easier to explore and try out artists with my own money. I'd rather just leave a donation jar up rather than drive a project. Takes a good chunk of the fun out of it too. Maybe I'll revisit but for now it's not in the cards. I'm also going through a significant personal upheaval so that's taxing my focus as well.
Thanks to those that showed support through any means, be it money, comments, promo art, etc. I really appreciate it and wish this could have gone on longer but such is life.
