The structure of this story is what really makes it stand out. It's essentially an anthology: five short scenes, with Dominic's detention as a framing device. But the scenes also form a whole, with Dominic's inner monologue connecting the scenes, and his character progression becoming a through-line. It's honestly unlike anything I've seen on InkBunny, in a good way.
It's third-person, but Dominic still lends his voice to the narration. "Is he allowed to punch a baby?" was a fantastic line that really sets the mood.
The cubs he has to deal with are varied and run the gamut from shy and submissive to taunting Dominic with his predicament. It's never shown to be sexual for the cubs, although some of them seem to enjoy the torment in a way that borders on precocious.
Cubdom is always an interesting genre because of the unique power dynamic: too many stories, both SFW and NSFW, adopt a reductive idea of power that frames every conflict as the powerful versus the powerless, good vs evil. But that's rarely how power actually works. Here, Dominic is older, and stronger, and smarter. But the cubs have been given institutional power over him, while still being innocent about exactly how that power works, or the adult implications of that power. Dominic is in a position where he can lash out at the cubs without consequence, but he's also a kid who has no real agency. The younger cubs are simultaneously granted authority over him and forced into a position of vulnerability to him. It's these kinds of dynamics that make for good storytelling.
Also the bunny boy is clearly channeling Tricksta's voice, and I am 110% here for it. I love that kind of voice.

Nova does a great job painting an image with words: the character's appearances and poses are detailed and evocative so you can always imagine what's happening. (For the record, a character bending over and peeking back between their own legs is one of my favorite poses and automatically bumps the story up a couple ranks.)
Overall, an entertaining read from Nova that proves that even kink stories can be art.
