Misquoted quote?

"Coming up with ideas is the easiest thing on Earth. Writing them down is the hardest." - Rod Serling

Now in all honesty, this is how I first heard the quote on a youtube video, and it really struck a chord with me as an amateur writer. Then later, when I looked up the quote by Rod Serling, I found that the youtuber had quoted them incorrectly. Here is the actual quote.

“Coming up with ideas is the easiest thing on Earth. Putting them down is the hardest.” - Rod Serling

Still a good quote, but I think I will keep the first one as I like it better.

What at some quotes that you like the misquoted version better that the original?

I saw an interview with Rod Serling
the interview was on a DvD , either a Night Gallery or Twilight Zone DvD

I think we say 2 different interviews
or maybe someone edited the original

I think he was generalizing

some ideas that I come up with are too stupid to publish ,
then something like hardware wars or attack of the killer tomatoes come out & I could just screem THAT COULD HAVE BIN MINE
