[ Update 9 Dec 23 ] Hiya, just wanna pop back in with some more updates and statuses!
First of all, weird bitter news: yesterday my cub account on twitter got suspended; just oop and there it went. I will attempt to appeal this because I believe it was made in error after malicious reports, and I enjoy posting art and lil scribbles on there; that said I'm not holding my breath with how extra bad twitter moderation has been lately.
Secondly I am very happy for the lovely reception to my latest comic Acquired Taste! As you probably know I wanted to release it via the SubscribeStar platform, but even after nearly a year of waiting having heard nothing from them (your account can't do anything without a manual review process, you see), I decided to release the comic publicly instead. Many platonic kisses to the people who went out of their way to donate to my Ko-Fi, it truly means a lot ❤️
I released the first three pages in quick succession because I wanted to give you some more to chew on before I move to a more staggered release schedule. I'm not solid on the days quite yet, but I would like to try to get two out per week, maybe something like Tuesday and Friday starting next with week.
And lastly, the reason I actually have time to work on stuff, I no longer have a dayjob! This *is* actually a positive step, and one made of my own volition. It's gonna take me some time to get acclimated, but Acquired Taste is just a taste of what's to come. Once it's had its run I plan to spin up a Patreon for my long form comic project that's been occupying my brainspace for the last couple of years.

Here some suggestions of things you could do instead or alongside of patreon. 1.A kofi only releases by this i mean set an amount of money to reach per page post a bar or journals telling people how mych money we need per page and only post pages when the amount is reach
2. Pixiv fanbox i know censoring is annoying but you can use discord or friends only inkbunmy to give the uncensored version to members but remember to never post links to uncensored stuff on the fanbox themselves just tell people to "check discord for more" or stuff like that

SB is incredibly uncomfortable with their creators having a large Twitter presence, so just be wary seeing as your SB account is still being validated. But well done on getting your independence! Just make sure you won't be as stupid as me and hit the road sprinting for your life, It's taken me two years to work out a healthy work-life balance, but I guess animation and art are two different things.

Yes, more revenue is good for their platform, but Twitter is an incredibly volatile place (not Twitter, but the people in it). From experience, it only took a 10k followed artists on Twitter to light the fuse to light the powder keg of D-dos attacks as well as catching a few eyes of people with practical power that threatened to shut SB down. I know it feels like a catch-22, just understand SB has no control over online flash mobs, and from what I've learned they are now very very conservative about new accounts. I can only assume that pokey places like IB calm their legal team down, But asking your landlord if you can keep a pet shark doesn't always go down so well e ^e; So yea, it's not that simple. If your Twitter manages to get reinstalled just link everyone to tour active venues as soon as you can, miiiight have to draw it because they are still doing that obnoxious word filtering and added bsky/bluesky in the mix.
