Today has been layed out as a day of remembered for all the brothers, sisters and nonbinary family that have suffered hate, abuse or tragicly lost their lives due to bigotry.
I only recently came out as being trans, so I am lucky in that I haven't directly faced much negativity but it does very much exist and I know people that have.
I want to send this out as a small reminder, we are people, the same as everyone else we just want to live our lives.
Please do not listen to the propaganda that the corporate media spreads, we aren't trying to brainwash your kids, we aren't invading gendered spaces or forcing sone hurtful ideology onto anyone.
Nobody is being forced and can't be forced to be trans and we are not mentally ill.
All we want is to live our lives without fear and hate. We want to be able to look in the mirror and not dispise the person looking back.
Please just leave us alone. We are people the same as you.
