We Now Require Less Dots - Making Prints Easier

Hi everyone

We have reduced the pixel size requirements for all prints sizes. This means you can print lower resolution images at print sizes that weren't possible before.

So you may find that images too small to sell as prints before will now be accepted by Inkbunny.

The minimum size requirements are now:

5.5" x 8.5" at 825x1275px (150dpi minimum)
8.5" x 11" at 1275x1650px (150dpi minimum)
18" x 24" at 2700x3600px (150dpi minimum)
24" x 36" at 4800x7200px (200dpi minimum)

We still recommend 300dpi minimum for all print sizes for the best possible quality but we understand that's not always possible! They still look acceptable at these lower resolutions.

Thanks go to

Also! If you have prints for sale already, go and check each one because you might be able to select the next higher print size now!

Do you think that a customer would know before they buy a print? Or would that be hidden/unknown?

At the moment prints are just listed by size and I think we'll keep it that way or we'll confuse people. As long as the minimum dpi is met, the prints will look fine. Inkbunny won't let you upload and sell anything that is too low-res!

Off-topic and a minor complaint.

I'm going through my older journals and removing them.  I can't delete a journal unless I view it, and when I do delete it I'm taken back to my gallery page.  I would appreciate some way to mass delete journals or at least have the site take me back to my journal listing when I delete one.

Hmm it should take you back to the journal list. I'll fix that!

Okay. :)

Also I sent you an email about a week ago, and I haven't heard back.  I'm curious the status on a few things that may or may not be in the works.

1. Story Module.  I know it's coming, but how close is it to completion?

2. Commissions Page.  I'm hoping for something like what Arkaid described.

3. Character Pages.  I forget who suggested that, but it seems like a neat idea and would be a great help to me as a story writer to be able to have my character biographies out there for people to see.

We will have a story module by the time we launch but I haven't started it. I spent the last two weeks on major security updates. ;.;

A Private Message system comes first, then the story module. Comissions system and character pages are in our To Do list, but those things will come after we launch.

Any idea on how long after launch?  Or is it too early to tell?

Too early to tell. But we tend to get a lot done for every release, and we will be releasing updates every 2 - 4 weeks even after the launch date so you won't have to wait long, I think. :P

2-4 weeks? :(

Yeah, I'm a tad impatient. XD  But at least feature updates are going to be on a semi-regular schedule.  It's been really interesting the past few weeks to see the site come together like it has. :)

I figured I'd ask, though I don't know if you can say anything yet.  But can you give an idea of the features tentatively scheduled for the next release?  Any chance that an "Upcoming features" page could be added, with a list of things scheduled for the next update?  Or is that asking too much? ^_^;  I'm sure you may not want to promise something for the next release and not have it ready.  I know the big things are PM System and Story Module, like you said, but what about more minor features, like auto-complete keywords or batch journal management?  (Or even batch favorite management?)

We probably won't have an upcoming features list. That's very difficult to manage! But yeah we can talk about the broader things that are expected to happen soon like Private Messaging etc.
