They said no such thing. Just a warning that people become aggressive rude and confrontational towards people that post AI art. That is a fact. Just because it's called out doesn't mean they are asking you to accept it. I've received actual death threats for posting stuff I've made elsewhere. If you think posting AI generated content justifies death threats and harassments, you're the problem. That's all they are saying.

Many places and groups ban AI art for good reason. Why embrace something toxic and is a slap in the face to REAL artists that painstakingly make their creations. More admins, including IB's need to follow suit and ban it outright. AI is to be a tool, not for doing the entire work for you.

I know a ton of artists who are hurt by the proliferation of AI art, who feel like their effort is being devalued... I personally would avoid posting to a place where it's in competition with their efforts, but that's me, I'm not you, so you're free to do as you please <3 I understand why they're upset, but ultimately that shouldn't have an effect on stuff that you make/do for yourself, whether or not you want to share

Think carefully about it. Is your argument that the AI takes the intellectual property of others without premission to create new work? Thats fanart. Is your argument that the AI copies style? Style, universal concepts, basic poses, symbols cannot be copyrighted. Is your argument that its tracing? With this high levels of pixel to pixel destruction it cant ever be called tracing without claiming that all art is tracing.
So what is the reason? What can you post that wont get some mad Nintendo or Disney lawyer jump their guns as they finally have a way to send cease and desist letters to guys like Nicobay himself because of "stealing their property"?

I think it's right to say that here?) that ai just copy pastes a fuckload of stuff from random artists all together to make an image. Technically it does the same thing what the human brain does but at an extremely inefficient way.(our brain is complex)
To put in an example lets say you have 2000 pictures of an apple all done by different people. The AI now takes in all these pictures of an apple, identifies what exactly is an apple on the picture then spews out tons of pictures till the training reaches the point where all results posted are apples. It analyzes a picture pixel to pixel and when it reaches the point where it "knows" what an apple is, it produces a picture pixel to pixel that fits the description of an apple.
The main problem with the copying or tracing argument is that since it takes apart pictures down to pixels and creates a new image based on the prompts you are 100% guaranteed to never get a picture that you could at any point call traced or copied. Since the destruction is too high the only thing that may remain is a similar style or a character where the first one cannot be copyrighted while the second one is only defended by copyright till someone stamps "fanart" or "parody" on it.

A, hands down. For all the trouble people start over it, there's nothing wrong with the assist, especially if it manages something neat.
I also find it quite funny how many people flip the moment the term "AI" gets used, and even moreso, why. If it were so easy, no one would commission. It's always been one gets a commission because they appreciate an artist's style, and a transaction is discussed to bring one's idea to depiction. I get it; money sucks right now. It will continue to, until something changes or the whole scheme falls. Greed is older than dirt; my bet is the whole thing will collapse like a tower of cards long before change even crosses their minds.
The sooner folks figure out how to co-op a moral G-AI, the sooner badass tech comes. I don't see humanity ever working together though. That kinda shit only happens in movies. =/
