December of 2011, I commissioned an artist for a cosplay picture of my gun bunny and Soren as Lara Croft and Kurtis Trent (Tomb Raider The Angel of Darkness) and about nine months later I'm waiting for the result still. This artist has put out commission notifications repeatedly to help cover medical bills and moving costs as landlords are ball lickers these days. I've inquired about the status of my commissions a couple of times but just seemed to get the back burner. My question is "Is it right to put this artist on artist beware in light of his or her situation, should I give up on the commission and write the fifteen bucks off or request a refund though he or she likely has no money?"
Not the first time I've waited that long but the other time was a mini series of six pages and I was in or could contact the artist any time.
