So, this little milestone passed by without me noticing.
I posted my first story here a little over 1 year ago (and started my account a few days before that. Happy 1 year IB anniversary to me, I guess 😄
In that time I've posted 6 stories, not a great average but not bad either. They have varied in popularity (with my second story In The Heat of the Pridelands
even making it to the popular uploads!) and all my feedback has generally been very positive, so I'm calling that a win!
I'd like to thank everyone who has read, fav'd and especially commented on my work so far, it's really encouraging to see that people are enjoying my work and I hope you continue what I put out in the future. And also thanks to everyone who has helped me with editing and proofreading my stories before they get posted, your help is really invaluable and I'm incredibly grateful for you taking the time to help me.
I wish I had the time and inspiration to put out more work, but I have a day job which takes a lot of time away from me, and while I have ideas, it often takes time for me to properly work them into a coherent story.
I don't formally take requests or commissions, primarily because I can't guarantee how long it will take me to finish a piece and I would hate for someone to be waiting around for months for me to get something written. But also because I'm still quite new at this, I'm still very much finding my feet as a writer. I would like to in the future once I'm a bit more established, but until then I had this idea.
As I said, while I do have ideas for my own writing it often takes time for me to work them into a story, but I often feel like I should be writing something just to keep my practice in. As such, if you have any idea for a story you'd like to see me write please feel free to post it here or drop me a PM with it.
I can't promise that I'll actually write them as I would with a formal commission, but if I find myself looking for inspiration I can pull an idea out of the bank and work on that while I'm planning something else. I will, of course, credit the idea to whoever submitted it.
While the majority of my work so far has been Lion King related, I'm happy to branch out to other properties, my most recent submission was a Zootopia story, so feel free to drop ideas for other settings.
I don't really have any guidelines for things I will or won't write, challenge is the spice of life after all, however, I'm really not comfortable writing cub stuff so I almost certainly won't use any ideas that involve that. Also, I probably won't select anything that involves OCs, for the simple reason I won't be familiar with them as characters, so anything I write won't be doing them justice.
