Oh yeah, I very much took that into consideration this entire time. At least in my area, the cost of rent is around the same amount as I'd be paying on a mortgage. In this case it's granting much more room for myself and the two people that live with me. Housing's been in a pretty gross situation here for the last 6 or so years I've been trying to buy a house :S

I owned homes...well, I rented homes, because if you don't pay the taxes, even if you own the deed, the government takes it. Why I want a boat to live on and get out of the tax situation. Good luck, it IS exciting to own something as substantial as a home.
