I do not support AI artwork.

I've been noticing a lot of AI stuff appearing on IB lately over the past few months. I thought there was some kind of ban against AI artwork that happened a while back. Idk. But I will say that while some of it looks pretty good and I've seen some pretty button-pushy stuff for me personally, I will not favorite or support any AI generated artwork. It takes away from real legit artists, some of whom are trying to even make a living doing commissions, when any old joe blow can just enter a few prompts and get some kind of high quality art with no skill involved whatsoever. It can even be done in the styles of real artists which is a complete ripoff and in my opinion should be considered art theft. A lot of these artists probably didn't consent to this either.

But yeah, I will only favorite or support REAL artwork created by REAL artists that took REAL work and skill and patience to complete.

I only favorite or support REAL artwork created by REAL artists too. :)

Artists could learn to use AI as a tool to improve their own work. Furthermore, most AI art I've seen are of characters and situations that most traditional artist wouldn't consider drawing in the first place. A few artists I knw are still getting just as meny requests and are keeping busy. I kind of equate this with 2D animation vs 3D animation. It's two different forms of talent. I agree some AI art that steals others work that is just generated and posted with a few clicks is not good. BUT, I've seen some AI art where you can clearly see the artist has cleaned up and refined the image to look great. There is a talent to this as well and it is a form of art. I think if there is a way for artists to prevent their art from being used then that would solve a lot of this.
