Sorry I have been so quiet for the last four months. Real Life has gotten in the way, and I just don't have much free time for my writing or fursuit making.
Thought I could do okay living off my retirement investments, and for several years, that worked out well enough. I started my medical and legal gender transition, from male to female, and that has been very successful. Got a travel trailer and enjoyed camping whenever I wanted to go. But medical bills, car repairs and other major expenses put a strain on that plan. I tried starting a small business doing fursuit making and other craft work - Fine Foxcrafts. Got a trickle of interest, but not enough to ensure a steady income. And the house needing a new roof forced me deeper into debt. *sigh*
So, at the start of March this year, I reluctantly decided to go back to work at a regular job. Started working part time as a sales associate at a mall retail store - JC Penney. Not my main field, and the pay was not much above minimum wage, but I am really, really good at customer service, no matter what kind of customers I need to work with. I got noticed by everyone at the store, including the managers. And just two months later, when a full time position as an assistant manager opened, I applied for and got the job! Fastest promotion in my entire working history! So now I am working full time, as the newest member of the store's management team. It's going quite well, but keeping me really busy.
So... I have ten fully-revised chapters of my "Die Role" story series ready to upload, but no free time to get that simple task done. Let alone to write more. And since only a handful of readers have indicated they are even interested in my new stories, it'd been difficult to allocate the time to update or write more of them.
Does anyone even care about the update, or seeing more Die Role stories? Admittedly, my new writing style, particularly my steering away from writing cub stuff, takes me out of the central focus for Inkbunny readers. But I think it is still pretty good. What do you think? Getting positive feedback could help to motivate me.
