I just had a thought that upset me. Somewhere out in the world is a person who thinks that a legless lizard is a snake. I do not mean a person who has simply never heard about the odd species. I am talking about a person who has seen a legless lizard, has been informed that they are an anomaly that still classifies them as a lizard, yet refuses to accept the fact that it is a lizard. This person probably asserts that it is a snake simple because it has no legs and ignores the difference in jaw and head design that set it apart from a snake. I know this is an odd thing to think of or be sad about, but it still happened.
