Animal breeding. No, not the zoophilia kind. Though a few artificial insemination procedures could be fun I guess. For a long time I have had this weird obsession with having families of animals and breeding my own varieties. The only thing that stops me from thinking about this obsession constantly is furry art.
I started before I even had internet on my computer with my encyclopedias. I would use soooo much paper listing basically all the animals in the encyclopedia because I was planning to catch 'em all and take them to my own secret island away from any humans. I saw a video that says kids who grew up with Pokemon have a Pokemon region of the brain. I didn't like Pokemon so that part of my brain is probably filled with the animals in the Golden Book Encyclopedia of Natural Science, in alphabetical order.
When I got the internet and more information was available to me, I started getting obsessed not just with listing species, but specific animal breeds and then even stuff like specific mutations. kippenjungle.nl is an interesting website about this.
