is it's altering your art-style & workflow & worktime?
and how long until you get used to?

The basics of the programs itself aren't too hard. If you really work at it, after a day or two, you can mostly be up and running...at least in a vacuum. The hard part is the personal stuff. Your brushes probably wont move over. You'll have to play with the sensitivity on your tablet, assuming it works immediately at all. (Sometimes there's a setting you need to change to get it working.) You have fix all the shortcuts, adjust the layout to your liking. Etc, etc. Again the bulk of the work is a day or two at max if you work at it. After that, there will be small annoyances and things you'll need to keep looking up for WEEKS afterwards, but by then they'll only slow you down a little, and not really STOP you, per say.

I switched from Sai 2 to CSP, myself. And I really gotta emphasize the 'work at it' part. Write everything down, make step-by-step process notes for yourself. It's a bit slow, but it definitely makes a lot easier in the long run.

Procreate hands down.

Sure the machine is expensive but totally worth it.

I actually switched from CSP to using ProCreate on my iPad several years ago. I heard on Twitter that the newest version of CSP might be online only, and is forcing some folks ta use the older version with no further updates.

yeah, i got the version 2 (windows), and it has to be connected to the internet to authenticate your license every time you start the program :( they said they'd change it but at least for now we're stuck like this. The updates for the first version will be just to fix bugs and problems until they release version 3

not sure about the subscription based CSP, but they heard that, in newest update you can still use it offline

Clip backed right out of that immediately and still has a purchase option.

I changed my software a couple of years ago because the brushes just felt smoother on CSP than on SAI (aside from the stabilization settings). I think it influenced my style because SAI was better for painting, the colors mixed better and the brushes were firm and simple. But from the start, CSP felt much better for lineart and inking, so I lean more towards that now. Also there's a few functions that speeded up my process once i got used to the program, for example you get a curve option to change the colors more easily, and filter layers just like in photoshop.

Sadly you can't move your brushes or settings between both programs, you'd have to change the settings and textures manually to get something similar. And the SAI archives aren't compatible with CSP and vice versa, so if you want to switch programs to edit the same drawing, it has to be a PSD. The latest Clip studio update made the brushes feel better for painting, but now the program has a subscription-only mode, just like adobe.

I don't know if you can still get the single purchase version, but the time you'll spend transitioning from SAI, and translating all your brushes, added to the monthly fee to use the program make it not worth checking anymore. Unless you have the version 1 already.

i already have ver 1, the hard part is i have to calibrate every brush to my liking, and with that overwhelming brush option ins CSP it will take time

I need to get my hands on a copy of SAI since it seems simpler and would just be way better for sketching.
