Does "being fucked" mean "being raped"?

It might be a weird place to ask this but does the phrase "being fucked" imply rape?

I use this to imply the main actor to be passive or submissive.
But after talking to japanese artists, it translates the phrase to "being violated" or even "being raped"

Now I am really unsure.

If you aren't a native English speaker the word 'fuck' can be incredibly confusing. It's the most versatile word in the English language. In this case, 'being fucked' is a vulgar way of saying someone is having sex with you. The sex could be consensual or it could not be, that isn't important to the phrase.

So 'being fucked' does not mean or imply rape on its own, but if a character were being raped they would still be 'being fucked'.

To be completely honest, I'm not a native English speaker myself.

I thought I could emphasize the passiveness of a character by using the passive form like his:
"[Character] is getting fucked by [another person]"

I was shocked to see that his phrase was translated to "being raped" in japanese as i tried to retranslate it, just to be sure.

So I thought it meant that even in english.

I don't speak Japanese, but I think I know why they thought it meant 'being raped'. Fuck is a very versatile word, and even 'being fucked' has more than one meaning. In regards to sex, it just means that someone is having sex with you and you are (probably) the one being penetrated. The word is flexible enough to just mean sex in general, but if you specifically are being fucked then there is a strong implication that you are the one being penetrated, but not necessarily.

However, 'being fucked' also has a more social meaning that may be a reason it translates to 'to be violated' or 'to be raped'. If you say you are 'being fucked' outside the context of sex, it could mean that someone has done something very bad to you. For example, if my job fired me and didn't tell me until I showed up for work I could say that I'm 'being fucked' by my supervisors. Or if I get into a car accident and the other person drives away to try to escape accountability I could say I'm 'being fucked' by the other person, or that the other person has 'fucked me'.

That connection where 'being fucked' means both 'something very bad' and also a vulgar way to simply say 'having sex' is probably why it translates to rape.

If 'being fucked' means 'rape' in Japanese, it would probably be better to use a different word for the Japanese translation, but 'being fucked' will probably be understood as being the more submissive partner by an English audience.

Thanks for the detailed response.

My take is to use a different phrase from now on, although my thought wasn't wrong though.

"Getting Fucked" does not mean "Being Rape" but it does have a few different meanings. XD
