South Park: Garrison Jenner 2024

It looks like we have another short season in the bag. After what happened in Nashville,Tennessee, I definitely needed an escape from the news cycle for a bit. Of course there's another show after South park but I doubt it will go up to a 3rd season.

Act 1
So it looks like we're starting with Garrison & Rick. Dang, I forgot spring break occurs on different weeks across the US. I'm surprised they are choosing South Carolina for the destination over Florida. I wonder what those places are that Rick was referring to. We then cut to the weed farm where Shelly & Sharon go on vacation while Randy & stan have a stay cation. While I prefer construction toys, I appreciate the miniature hobby. Yo, that's a pretty nice caricature. Well I shouldn't be surprised that a store full of president trump merch exists. Of course unlike the real trump, apparently Garrison isn't into rallies anymore. Wow that's a huge tabletop battlefield. Oh no, are we going to get Randy becoming a tate orbiter arc? Back in South Carolina, we see the conflict begin to arise. Of course the former president is getting into the groove of rallies. I wonder if the indictment will be referenced in the later acts. We finally get to see the other farm next door after a while. Also, it looks like Randy is disappointed that tolkien's father isn't a party animal. Well it looks like South park finally acknowledged the Ukraine war after a whole year. Also, there's no way Garrison could get away with lying if one of the magats were to post the rallies onto social media.

Act 2
We cut to myrtle Beach once again and sadly Rick is spending the beach day alone. Meanwhile Tolkien & stan continue to play some 40K. Of course Randy is trying to derail their play session. What the hell did I just say about Randy being a tate orbiter? Back in SC, we're about to see how this conflict escalates. Of course the former president couldn't help getting into rallies. Back at the farm, it looks like Randy is throwing his own rager while the boys continue playing 40K. Talk about dedication to the game. So back to SC and that's some pretty decent looking fondue. We don't get to dwell on the conversation or fondue for long because apparently El presidente needs to empty his insides. At least that's the excuse he gives to Rick. I wonder if Rick would have preferred if Garrison had a sexual fling rather than rallying in the bathroom.

Act 3
With the aftermath of the rager, it looks like the real opps are here. I wonder if that guy playing ps4/5 is playing the Harry Potter game. In true south park fashion, tate gets into a shootout and I suppose he got away unlike his real counterpart. It's looking like Garrison is going on the warpath but apparently he would rather use the platform to pour his heart out to Rick. Piece of shit? I thought he was a giant douche. Wow, I guess anything could he turned into a rallying cry. And it looks like we're getting a repeat of the January 6th insurrection with real footage. According to Sharon, apparently this isn't the first time randy has called her to return home. Damn, I guess even Stan didn't exactly get out of it Scot free. While we see Rick & Garrison reconcile at the end, I have a feeling this won't be the end of the former president. I wonder if we'll have an expy of Ron DeSantis for the next season or even in the paramount exclusive specials.

Verdict
Well this was an interesting way to cap off the season. We get to see even more of the Stan & Tolkien relationship develop and we also get another spotlight on Rick & Garrison. Even though Andrew tate had been in jail for around 90 days, I still found the jokes at his expense hilarious. It's going to be fun to watch how orbiters like sneako & adin Ross react to this episode of south park. I'm not sure if other shows with spring break themed episodes have done it but this may be the first time I've seen one that didn't take place in Florida. While there wasn't exactly an overall story for the season, it still sprinkles in continuity. I'm glad they didn't drop the president angle completely. There's definitely a lot I wish was covered in the show but I definitely don't need to look far to see how the stories develop and the memes that get made out of them. While I would like to see them acknowledge Ohio or even Twitter collapsing in real time, they were probably beaten to the punch on every front. I also found the angle of Garrison being taken advantage of instead of being the grifter himself weird. While this was an entertaining episode, I think the previous episode tied up more loose ends than this one.
