It is! And MwFF is near you, too! The country is full of furries, so you can have smaller furmeets, too. Meanwhile in my country, it's basically dead.

But also we have gun violence, lots of crime in general, very little public transport, very little workers rights, corrupt politicians, corrupt police who murder people and don't get punished, i could go on... Also i have very little interest in going to a furcon, i don't even have a fursuit. Also i can't draw and i don't have the money to commission people often so am i even really a furry at that point?

It's not much better here either, but they also do whatever they can to keep people as poor as possible here.
What makes you a furry is, that you just are. :) I for one would gladly have just a regular fur meet with you, even if you've been a bit quiet lately.

Also yeah, it's so hard to make money with a regular job here. Everyone here is poor too, apart from a hand full of super rich people.

Huh, that's surprising to hear... Personally, I thought, that I'm kind of crazy that I wanted to be self-employed in the USA one day. xD Thinking that the work pay is rather on the high side.

But over here, they make self-employment extremely risky. :/

Hmm, i'll admit i don't really know how self employment works here in 'merica. I just know that our minimum wage is super low, so it can be hard to get by for a lot of people.

You pay after what you make. Over here, you pay a LOT even if you make nothing, if you choose to be self-employed.
The minimum wage here is 1/6th of that - and it used to be even worse. xD One can especially feel it when buying electronic equipment for example.

Minimum wage here kinda depends on what state you're in. The federal minimum wage, that is the minimum wage that the states can't go under, is only $7.25. Some states have it higher than that but some just stick with the federal minimum. NONE of the states offer a minimum wage high enough to be considered a living wage.

Yeah it's not a great situation. I honestly don't know what i'm going to do with my life, especially considering my... illnesses. I'm 24 and still living with my parents, who thankfully are only charging me $200/month rent. I know i'll pretty much never be able to move out on my own.

I have autism and severe depression, so it's difficult to even wake up in the morning let alone hold a job and have a normal life. Because of that I actually don't have a job right now. I get $914/month from Supplemental Security Income which is for people with disabilities and low income. $914/month is decent pocket change, but it's nowhere near enough to live on my own.

I'm glad to hear you at least have that! Have you tried tracking down what causes the depression?
Though I might not be the best advisor here, when I recently had my bad times. xD

No idea what causes it. Just my brain being fucky i guess. I'm on medication for it and it helps a little bit but i'm still miserable all the time.

I'm sorry you've been feeling bad too. I wish I could help. I'm always here if you need someone to talk to though. I may not be able to fix your issues but i'll always listen.

I mostly just try some teas for it. Sometimes they work, other times not so much. But better than nothing.

Nah, I meant lemon grass, st john's wort, and valerian <- in this order, they taste and smell worse and worse. In fact, valerian just reeks!

The black teas aren't the only ones i like of course, those ones are just my favorites. I like lots of different types of tea actually. I'd 100% have a tea party with you too :3

I'm the same with it. But black is what I could go for all the time. Fruit, or mint are great, maybe chamomille, etc, but they get boring quick for me.
