Hey there folks,
Thank you all for putting up with me while I've been on a hiatus from writing. I'll admit, the latter half of the year has not been great for me. Without going too much into it, mental health and work stress conspired to make it impossible for me to write (or to take pleasure in writing).
That said, I've had a few life changes for the better, and among them is getting back to some writing. It's nice to realize how much I really was missing it.
But, I also have limitations, and I was burning out the way I was doing it before. So I wanted to take a moment to address a few things for the coming months:
Stories and Commissions:
I will not be taking public commissions for now and I have no plan to resume in the short term. I don't really have the mental bandwidth to take on full fledged commissions, and I know it's not going to help if I get in over my head again. If I do reopen for public commissions, I will probably make some changes to how I do them.
On the plus side, I will be writing some short stories again! Both because it's fun, and because I feel like I need to knock off the rust. So, you will likely get to enjoy some new releases in the meantime.
Patreon:
I've kept my Patreon closed for a while now (no payments processed, no content released). I have tentative plans to re-open my Patreon in the near future, because honestly, it's where I release the writings that makes me the most happy.
I am plotting some changes to it because I really bit off more than I could chew when I was redesigning the tiers last time. But I won't just spring it on folks out of the blue. I'm going to be chatting with my Patrons about these changes before I do, so if you are a Patron who's been waiting patiently, please keep an eye out for that post!
