About Censored Posts 2

by
* First, this is just to explain, and please understand that this is not a warning to other artists.

I have recently received several similar comments about censorship way so I will explain.

The question is "Why don't you use the black line in censorship?"
And as it turns out, it's because it already does not meet the general level.

The general way of censorship in Japan has changed over time, and black-line censorship already has not reached that level now.
If we were to adapt the current level, it would be "mosaic" or “paint out”.

I hope it will help someone who is wondering about it.

I really wish that Japan government would stop the pixelated censorship. I don't see why it's a thing anymore in this day and age -_-

Mostly outdated mindsets.
A few of the new generation p ok liticians tried to have it removed but it's still mostly older generation so it didn't pass.
It's trying... But it's not there yet.

I wish Japan would get rid of genital censorship, it ruins the great videos and art from there!~

I find it odd that the kinky alternative sex capital of the world has censorship laws on art >.>

I think censoring the genitals in hentai is like putting a bandaid over cancer in that regard

You haven't been to Japan have you? It's extremely conservative and doesn't have the best lgbtq rights. It is not a kinky utopia.

its so sad to see your art censored. would be nice to have a loophole site where you can post uncensored versions

I mean Dagasi only post censored work on pixiv, but its uncensored on IB and e6 which is very nice of them to do. Maybe they can do it because they dont live currently in Japan and censorship is required in pixiv unlike Sukiya who lives in Japan who fears the law because they live in it.

Oh god. I hope this doesn't affect me when I'm on Pixiv sharing my stuff. I have to use the black/colored lines over genitals and hopefully its okay, even if my drawings are mostly on paper.

Its not a problems for me to use censors now that I know PhotoPea exists, but it has its limits.

The only reason why Japan is obsessed with censorship is because of the colonialists disgusted by their uncensored pornography in the past. Mostly the boomers refused to abolish the law.

But I have faith in the future where new gens to replace the boomers that is not stuck in the past to finally end censorship. I mean were almost there! A manga creator has breached the LDP to help artist reach their freedom of expression without worrying about censorship.

All we can hope right now is his success.

Hi, thinking about your censor:
Have you considered to use a programm named Gmask. It allow to make reversable mosaic. You just selecting an area that you want to censor, click buttons like "M-" or "M+", then saving it. Users just selecting censored area and pressing buttons in backward order (M- for reversing M+ and vice versa).
Even can use a password to censor something by using button "CP". So noone without password can uncensor it.

Can be downloaded here. https://web.archive.org/web/20160811061104/http://homep...
It's very old shit so can be found only in internet archive nowdays.

I didn't know there was such technology in the world, haha.

It may not be easy to implement in my environment, but thank you for the idea!

Why would the artist need this? They have the original uncensored pics.

Use this instead https://julianwachholz.github.io/wmask/
