Coffee robot

By the way i've did a coffee-making robot for my current apartment in a pretty old house with old electrical stove. It heats very slowly, so it is too boring to monitor coffee for 10+ minutes. It can overheat and overflow to stove. Overboiling spoils the taste. So this robot maintains a temperature a little bit below boiling point by raising coffee container. It also makes ugly melody to make come to kitchen and shut it up.

Well done. Although I myself would have done it very differently, this solution certainly seems to work, if a bit much for the problem at hand.

Now, I assume you are using a microcontroller to control the robot and the laptop was just there for monitoring purposes, am I right?

Yes, it is atmega based arduino. Notebook is used only to update firmware or to monitor temperature. It can work independently.
