I have no dog in this fight, but after MONTHS of all this moral panicking and soapboxing I'm officially sick of this whole thing. It is beyond tiring at this point and comes across as a death rattle.
It's not going to go away and declaring war on it as so many have will only make people want to use it more, either for the "taboo" aspect or just plain old fashioned spite. Already seen a few try to remove all of their stuff from all boorus, which is an exercise in futility, boorus are probably 90% of image sites, and will only accelerate falling into obscurity.
I've seen someone compare this to the music industry, and that's not far off in my opinion.
If I see one more journal virtue signalling "in solidarity" I'm just gonna start unwatching. I'm done with it.
