Hi Friends,
At nine chapters and nearly 20,000 words, It's in Your Blood is "complete." Which is to say, I still need to go through and revise with another draft. I'm not sure how to do that. I was considering compiling it into one document and placing the first drafts in scraps, but maybe one document isn't the way to go. Maybe I just need to update the posts as they are. What's best here in terms of visibility and readability?
In any case, what I had when I started this project was largely just a character, a theme, and an endpoint, and I think I was able to get all those across. I hate to evaluate my own work, but if I was taking a distant look at it, I'd say Lianne Bellerose completed her character arc as a flawed, conflicted "human" successfully. How well that came across is up to you.
So, what's next? Currently, I'm working on a story based on an outline submitted by another user here on Furaffinity. It's a different sort of challenge for me, and it too is reaching completion. I'm looking forward to sharing this collaboration with all of you.
After that? I have some ideas, but nothing concrete that I want to share. Even if the readership of my stories aren't spectacular, sharing them feels therapeutic to me. It's a lot better than penning these and sticking them in a drawer somewhere, and if other people enjoy them too, that's even better.
