Paxlovid: Get!

My first symptoms and positive test were on Saturday evening; on Sunday, my doc faxed a prescription for Paxlovid to my pharmacy, but didn't check all the necessary boxes and whoever was working at the drugstore was an intern or something without authority to do anything, Monday was Labor Day... but today, finally, I got me my 30 little pills, and have just taken my first dose of 3 of 'em. Take that, you mindless self-replicating collection of RNA! Die! Die! Dissolve into uncoordinated atoms, and never darken my metaphorical doorstep again!

... Look, I've been breaking into my emergency reserve of cheering-up video bookmarks (ranging from orchestral arrangements of Undertale music to The Three Stooges' Christmas Album), for those few hours-a-day I'm awake right now, and I'm going to unashamedly wallow in any ridiculous anthropomorphization that helps keep my spirits up.

You need to watch "Cells at work"
A very unusual anime.

It's been a bit since you posted that you were sick and I realized I hadn't heard about you getting better. Are you okay?

Pretty well okay. I tested positive on Saturday the 3rd; started Paxlovid on Tuesday the 6th; and finally tested negative on Thursday the 15th. I might not be completely over all my symptoms, but I'm hoping that I've avoided picking up Long Covid - whenever I feel tired or achy, or cough, or the like, I wonder whether it's a "normal" sort of ache or cough or due to the recent Covid, but don't have any real way to tell.

(Actually, my worst symptom at the moment is a toothache, on a molar that's already had some extensive work done; and my dentist's office is closed until tomorrow morning.)

I'm glad you're okay then!

I have a tooth issue myself. No pain, but a filling is loose. Unfortunately, I can't get my Dentist to do anything about it for a couple weeks. ^.^;;
