So, I know it's been a bit since I last gave a bit of a heart to heart to you guys, so I thought I'd put this up here. I'm not expecting much out of it, but I'm running out of options.
So in the year or so since my mom died, things were more or less being balanced and coasting along like normal, I was working lots, making decent bank, and able to cover my bills and extra so I could do things like commissions and funding my smaller business ventures. As it stands now though, things have changed quite significantly.
Recently I was moved to another jobsite and along with this move there also came the notice that my total number of hours per week were going to go down to 32, the minimum for a full time employee. Because of that, I've basically taken a significant pay cut and that's on top of the increase to my expenses with how shit the economy has become. It's gotten now to the point where I am barely scraping by and right now, i'm in a situation where I can't even pay my bills anymore.
I still owe about 470 dollars in bills for this month which I can't even hope to pay and i've got more coming up that I also don't have any hope of paying. Right now, I'm hoping for a hail mary to bring things back into a stable state, because if I don't, I'm going to have to declare bankruptcy in a desperate attempt to get out from under the debt I'm dealing with.
It goes without saying, I've been under an ungodly amount of stress lately which is in part why I've decided to reach out to you guys. I need help.
Have you brought up with your employers that the changes to your work schedule has severely affected your home life to the point that you're struggling to make end's meet? They may try to patch things up somehow if you've been employed for a while and have done good work for them. Possibly even go above their heads if they can't/won't help you and tell higher ups that your new position and work hours are untenable, and that you want to continue working with/for them but you're struggling and the stress may affect your workflow and make things worse.
