You might ask who Jody is. Well, today is a somber and emotional day for me today. I just buried my cousin-in-law at a military cemetery. His name is Joseph Williams aka "Jody", but I call him "Joe". He was born on June 8, 1970 and was raised in Macon, Georgia. He was in the army for two years before enlisting in the U.S. Navy Reserve for 10 years after graduating high school in 1988. During his time in the navy reserve he was stationed at Sierra Vista, Arizona and was employed at Warner Robins Air Force Base for six years. He joined the army first, then joining the navy reserve and finally was employed at the air force base. Just like me, he was a college graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services. He had a business called Jody's Green Thumb, LLC. Jody was a devoted husband and father, as well as a beloved cousin, son, friend and uncle. He died on August 14, 2022 at the age of 52. He is survived by his wife of 20 years and two kids. He leaves to cherish his memories: his family, friends and co-workers.
