Beware Discord QR codes!

Hey guys, I just fell for a Discord QR code. They were clever.

One of my Discord groups was like "Hey we've moved to a new Discord server. Scan the code to move to the new server!"

I did and it got into my discord and sent messages.

I've since changed passwords and enabled more security and now I'm back.
If you were auto-unfriended+and blocked I have cleared that up so you can re add me back to Discord. My apologies.

No more QR codes for me.

Yeah, just needed a password change. The biggest hassle was unblocking all my friends and getting them back on my discord list.

Hate it when that happens, I've had a few compromised friends send me QR codes or sketchy links like 'Hey I'm working on this project for school, can you check it out for me? www.notavirustrustmedude.trojan'

This one was a bit more clever. It had already taken over someone else and that person owned a popular server. The bot had swept the server clean but it left behind a message that said "Hey, we've moved to a new Discord server. Scan the QR code to join the server"
