I don't really remember the last time I logged on to this site, probably been over a year, I apologize to everyone who've followed this account during that time only to have nothing new added, I have in fact been uploading more art, just to my FA instead, I've always been far more active on that site anyway
I'm leaving for a couple reasons, the main reason is because it's a pain to upload to more than one website, years ago I would upload to FA, SoFurry, Weasyl, DeviantArt, AND here, I did this because I figured it would help me gain more exposure if people had different avenues of discovering me, but it just became a chore, and it made me sort of dread uploading things, sure I could copy and paste most things, but the code for linking to an artist's account is also different on each site and I'd have to look it up every time and that was always annoying, so I decided I'd just stick to FA
I did stick around here a bit longer than the other sites though, for 2 reasons, 1) I like how this site's organization worked with the pools (which became irrelevant once FA introduced folders) and 2) I followed some artists here who aren't on FA because they had issues with it's management or something, I know there was some sort of drama, but I didn't really care enough to look into it too much
however, there was always another major issue I had with using this website, and well.... there's no getting around it, it's the cub stuff, I just... can't with that, I find it deeply disturbing, but that's like THE reason most people come to this site, because it's not allowed most other places, and thus makes it hard to escape seeing it because this is where people go to post it since they can't go anywhere else, so I was always left with the risk of seeing something I don't want to see at all times logging into this site, there's also a sort of.. reputation, that anyone who has an account here tend to get, regarding all that, and quite frankly, I don't want that reputation, especially if I want to make it as a big name YouTuber someday, I don't want people to find out I have an InkBunny and draw incorrect conclusions about me, which is why I'm making this journal as the last thing I ever post here
I probably should have stepped away a lot sooner than I did, in fairness I didn't know the types of material that would be here when I first made the account, but as soon as I found out, I probably shouldn't have continued, but I still had that "post everywhere so more people have a chance to find you" mentality, but the older I got, the more I realized I really have no business being here, and I might not even want to be found by certain types of people, so I'm finally, officially saying goodbye to this account
I could delete the account, but that leaves open the risk of someone making a fake account and pretending to be me, leaving it here at least lets people link to this being the real account if that were to ever happen, probably nothing I actually need to worry about, but just in case
