Zip Facts

Zip:
,
Is noted by some to be unsettlingly friendly and occasionally disingenuous.

A jovial, friendly attitude is how Zip puts people at ease, it typically makes them more malleable and compliant. This polite behavior is most often a facade.

Lost his tooth as part of a payment on a deal. No one knows why the client wanted his tooth, he just did.

Will make any deal as long as he benefits.

Even when someone tries to swindle him, Zip remains relatively polite, smiling even when threatening someone with immediate death. This tactic is often very unnerving and off-putting and almost always makes his point.

In the event that his point is not made, a bullet does the job just fine.

Zip is a business man foremost, always scheming and angling for the lion's share of any bargain.

Wanted to be a crossroads demon when he grew up.

He is owed many, many favors, all legitimately agreed upon, regardless of his dubious intent.

Ha considers favors to be the most valuable form of currency.

He purposefully uses vague wording in his agreements so people can't always tell exactly what he wants, but he never takes more than he believes the deal to be worth.

To this end, Zip speaks in a thick Cajun/Creole accent, using euphemisms and turning phrases, making it more difficult for a client to discern his motives when a bargain is struck.

If someone came into his shop looking to buy an item to kill a person who just left, Zip would sell it to them with no hesitation or questions asked.

He does not meddle in the affairs of others, he is simply a supplier.

Not all of his business involves shady dealings, in fact, much of his business is simply selling trinkets and other odds and ends.

Some of the items he sells hold some occult power, and fetch a nice price.

Rarer items of power, and greater power can be located for a client. Illicit items of power often come with a price tag that involves a favor.

Illegal or otherwise deadly items, tomes or weapons aren't expressly advertised, but those looking for such a thing often learn that he can get it.

He once held an ill-fated "Blowout Carnival" complete with balloon animals, baked goods and entertainment. That was the first and final time.

Zip is not a con artist, scammer or grifter nor does he engage in flim-flammery. All business he conducts is legitimate (even if illegal).

He has a sprawling and vast network of connections, though he considers them to be business assets, not associates.

A client once sought an angelic weapon, Zip delivered to her a single, laughably tiny, blessing-tipped Derringer. The client, enraged, backed out of the deal.
The failure haunts him to this day.

He doesn't officially own nor rent his shop space. He's essentially an unnoticed squatter.

Zip is considered fairly low class, having grown up on the streets. He adorns his shop with things he considers to be fancy, given his urchin lifestyle. Though these things, while maybe once fancy and rich, are little more than broken fragments and remnants left in the refuse by once great and wealthy individuals. A slightly parallel reflection of himself.

He would and has left a pile of corpses before allowing himself to be strong armed by thugs.

He understands that when dealing with riffraff, once the first body drops, the rest tend to scatter like vermin.

He may be one of the few Imps who can find himself in the presence of upper class and nobility without the use of subterfuge or servitude. This is where favors come in.

While not generally trusted by nobility, his business sense does allow him to speak and cajole with them on somewhat equal terms, albeit as a a hired contract.

By way of proxy, he is owed favors by 3 upper ranking demons and 7 powerful sinners. In accordance with the deals made, he isn't at liberty to say who exactly these individuals are.

The majority of his business comes from other Imps, then demons, then sinners respectively.

He makes it his business to know as many goings on in Hell as he can. This is truly his full time job.

His character design resembles that of Spike Spiegel of Cowboy Bebop. This was unintentional but serves his character well.

He is a charming smooth-talker and every bit as deadly as the next demon.

Oh, quite a lot of nice little facts ! ^^

Now a question if I may … does he sell information too ? Like if someone would ask what would be the b.a.-ba of hell to survive in it, would he provide and with what quality ? >w>

Information comes in many price ranges, from friendly advice to cryptic advice that may be hinting at something without expressly saying it, and even straight out, exactly what you're asking for, proper information.
Now, friendly advice is always free and often to be heeded from this guy.
But information tends to come with a premium, and while the price may be steep, depending on what you're asking, Zip often delivers with a level of careful quality control you'd come to expect from him. After all, repeat business is important! Gratuities not withstanding, of course!
