I'm not that big a twitter user but after seeing a lot of artists blow up through retweets etc, I should maybe try to be a little more active there, or at least inform you all of it's existence.
I was thinking it might be a good place to post occasional WiPs or small updates not worth making a journal here about. I'm still not sure if I should upload cub there though. I've seen some artists do it but most tend to link offsite. So far I've been linking offsite for that and sometimes posting preview images but that might just be giving me more work to do. What do you think? Regardless, IB will still be my main art site.
As for new art, there's still stuff coming. I've just been extra slow lately with it being summer (I've been going outside more than I've been drawing). Expect new art sooner or later though (probably in the fall).
As long as you don't mind the risk of Twitter banning that individual account at some point in the future, I don't think there'd be much risk to putting cub on there (except maybe more drama potential?). R3drunner is currently posting on there with 3,300 followers, for example.
On one hand, you're probably less likely to be banned by linking off-site.
On the other hand, that won't stop a dedicated cub purge from getting you. You're probably also less likely to go viral if your content is locked behind another website's login.
If your main goal is to grow your IB through Twitter, I think including your content on Twitter directly, and plugging IB relatively often, is the move. Just be mentally prepared for the Twitter followers to maybe go poof someday. And maybe don't outright say it's cub stuff.
