My computer is frustrating the hell out of me because WiFi and Bluetooth have been shoddy at best for almost a year now and finally quit altogether on me a couple months back. I got a new WiFi card that worked gloriously for a few weeks than decided to stop altogether (thankfully the day before the full refund time limit). As well, my hard drive is incredibly slow and my computer has like a 45 minute start time. Talking with a few computer friends, they say it's basically on the way out. Which is fair considering it's served me since, like, 2014.
It's gotten to the point I'm too frustrated with it every single Fuckign time I turn it on that I don't wanna use it for days on end, and when I do manage to get on, I have to spend several hours troubleshooting basic things before I can even go on and do what I wanted to do (check email, print out a single document, draw, etc.) I want to continue to do art but I physically cannot with this machine any more.
Thanks to some parts from a generous friend, I can run my computer on life support for a few months, using my phone and a USB cable to upload any art I create. But my goal of the next few months is to get a new computer entirely, one I can upgrade and update and change out parts every few years so I can get ahead of these problems before a full on death spiral like my computer is going through currently.
On top of needing a new computer, I'm also now housing and providing for my at the moment unemployed and depressed sister who just aged out of foster care and I have zero money. If you wanna get me a Kofi, that would be helpful. But for the time being, I cannot in good conscience accept new commissions until I get through my current queue.
