Our beloved Husky of 13 1/2 years, had to be put down. She couldn't get up anymore, could lift her head on a good day, and had stopped eating two weeks ago.
At least she finally gets to meet the other four-legged members who have been part of our family:
Baron, a dumb, but lovable Great Dane we rescued from a shelter.
Alexis, a German Shepard mix we inherited when she outlived her previous owner.
Zazu, a Husky who we took in after she literally jumped into a relative's van and refused to be chased out. He had his hands full with two Huskies already, and I think Zazu wasn't getting along with one of them.
Zelda was the only one we got from a breeder and raised from a pup. It was a case where our mom's second husband took the loss of Zazu the wrong way and tried replacing her like she was a goldfish.
