Learning to draw

Hey folks, hope you're all well.

As some of you know, I've recently started to learn to draw. Unfortunately, it seems I've got a bit of a roadblock on that journey. Just don't really know how to progress or do really.

I've tried the lessons on drawabox and whilst they're great, I just can't seem to focus enough to understand them. I'm just too fidgety and impatient I think XD

I was just wondering if anyone knew of any decent tutorials that are a bit more open, or even just ways to learn over all.

Thank you for reading,

That's really all you can do. Sometimes its not just reading it from a book its more like doing it.. and doing it over and over again.

I am experimenting with digital art myself. Honestly watching streams helped me tonnes.

I'm having the same problem. I am really good at things like science where you learn them in a structured, orderly way. Everybody agrees on exactly what you need to learn and how to learn it.

But trying to learn to draw is difficult because there are 100 different websites claiming they know the right way to reach you how to draw, and they teach you opposite and contradictory things >w<;

One drawing course that I have found useful is this one https://brookeseggleston.com/learn (I have only bought the drawing module at the start, I haven't looked at all the other modules). Obviously it hasn't made me good at drawing yet, I still have years to go before I'll be good at it, but it has made me a little bit better. And returning to it and doing the exercises over and over again, you get better every time. Each time, you get a little bit more out of it.

As Raptorzzs saidy, it really is all about practice. You need to draw every day and someday, your brain just goes into auto-pilot and suddenly you can draw certain body parts or a whole character.
