Well, that wasn't cheap but I'm back now and it'll be my last non-sponsored vacation for a while... I did decently on sales and I had a great time with my friends and other artists.
As usual, I spent a lot of it behind a table so I probably missed a good chunk of events. The meetups were a ton of fun afterwards, the room parties and going sightseeing around New York.
I actually never met John de Lancie, Tara Strong or Lauren Faust there. I wasn't really too interested in fan or celebrity worship. I know a lot of really talented people who aren't as lucky, but that line looked astronomically long just to get a signature...
There were a couple of odd times, like Tara going "Tonight I partied with bronies!" at the music palooza... I think most of us turned around and walked away at more sing-alongs, it definitely was not music and dancing, just more fan-service stuff.
There was also a minor fire and large evacuation on the last day. That really damaged final sales and shook everyone up, broke the mood at bit. Some jackass even stole a Twilicious poster and ran off with it from JJ/Will's booth behind us while they made us leave our stuff... some people really have no shame.
I should do a longer write-up but I'm still a bit tired from traveling. I'll try to get some of our friends up on streams as Skype guest commentary/calls and we'll try and recount the funny or interesting things I'm forgetting.
