Gen 9 so soon is surprising to me.

I'd wager November 2022. Gives me plenty of time to revisit some older Pokemon games.

Yeah, I’ll need it to play through the Sinnoh games! Though I will definitely have to wait if I can’t afford both it and the new Zelda.
