Well, 2021 was kinda shite, wasn't it? We thought we were getting over Covid-19, when the Omicron variant suddenly popped up. Here in Quebec, our Holidays were cut short by a surge in infection and hospitalisations, forcing us back into a lockdown, so I ain't going to see the movies for at least 3 weeks.
So yeah, thanks a lot, Antivaxxer Assholes, for holding us back from total herd immunity. Don't wish for anyone's death, but fuck off.
In other news, this whole year has been a productivity bust for me. Just haven't been feeling right, thanks to a general kind of malaise I've been suffering from for a while. That, and I've had ungodly work shifts all autumn long at work, leaving me drained. Gobtober was a bust, as was Hypnovember, and I couldn't do my usual "Advent Calender" thing for Christmas either. At least I can put up a sketch tonight.
Health wise, I found out I had a Vitamin D deficiency (thanks introversion), and high blood pressure. Which could be partially my weight, partially stress from the whole... *waves arms in an all-encompassing gesture* ...Y'know. So add more pills to my list of medication for my aging ass.
At least the USA kicked the Florida Fondler out of office. Now if only he could just shuffle off back into obscurity instead of threatening to start a coup d'état if he's not voted back into office in 2024.
This year's an electoral year for the American mid-terms, but also the Quebec Provincial Government. I'm not the biggest fan of Legault's CAQ Government, but they're doing a better job than the Quebec Liberals would've done. Not by much, but still better than nothing.
A lot of other things happened this year, but what really grinds my gears right now is that 2021 had to get in one last gutpunch and kill Betty White just 18 days away from her 100th Birthday. Couldn't even let us have that, could you?
