I don't do these kinds of journals often, but you need to know, because one of our own has been attacked unfairly. A year ago, I wanted to pay tribute to each Holiday of the year, of why they were special to me and to others. Yesterday, just four days from Christmas, I was contacted by someone on my Thanksgiving image, asking I take it down because Syrus,
is an 'art thief.' What did they 'steal?' The table. Not the characters sitting at the table. Not what was sitting atop the table. THE TABLE. This attacker is claiming that Syrus 'stole something very personal from them', when he used something that had been uploaded by the artist who made it, the legendary
(I hope you're well, man...) where it was public domain.
Syrus traced the table as a simple rush job for the image, which out of the attacker's wishes, I've removed from FA and Inkbunny. Syrus naturally apologized for the act, but this person has decided to make it their life's mission to destroy Syrus and slander his name, even making a Discord server for the sole purpose of a man hunt to find what else he's 'stolen'. Please do not believe any of these lies. If not for Syrus, my fanbase would never even exist. If you see any claims against him, I beseech you reach out to Syrus for the truth, instead of just demonizing her. Christmas is upon us. This is a happy time of year, when we forgive and forget; this person has chosen to ignore that for someone who's friendship helped me find my voice on FA.
