I've been writing Mickey and Minnie fanfiction since 2008. And I still love writing about the mice. It's my thing, it's what I do.
As someone who also browses fanart of the mice and reads fanfiction, there are some things I've noticed that seem to be... fetishes, of sorts. I've also received some suggestions or requests over the past few years, as well as some little critiques for how I do some things in my stories. I also want to discuss this as well. So I'm going to talk about them.
Buff and inflated Minnie and Mickey:
This is something I've noticed quite a lot of artwork of, and even seen a few fics of. This is something I won't do in my stories. I have no interest in writing about the mice being buff or inflated. It may be some people's fetish, but it's not mine, so it's not something I'll ever write about. I write about the characters in their natural, regular forms. I don't do buff or inflated, nor will I. The buff and inflated stuff isn't my thing.
Foot fetish:
Again, another fetish I've seen rather prominently here and on other sites. Again, it's some people's fetish, but not mine. I won't do stories that focus on that. I don't do fetish stories. Again, not my thing.
Vore:
A couple of people have asked about me doing more vore, one even asking about me using Kaa from the Jungle Book. Again, this falls under another fetish thing that I have no interest in. Yes, I wrote "In the Belly of the Goof", which was technically a vore story, but it was a sequel to the Mickey short "Third Wheel". It was just an idea I had that I did, but I've never done a vore story since. Even then, I didn't do the story because of the vore. It was a lemon, an M rated story. I don't do vore. Additionally, I don't write about other Disney characters from other properties. Only Mickey and Minnie. They are my OTP, they are characters want to write about and focus on, and thus all of my stories focus on them.
Characters in diapers:
Another fetish, and again, one I have no interest in and won't write about.
Tied up characters:
There's another fetish with Minnie being tied up, and I even had a request to do art of it before. Firstly, I don't do art. I only write. Secondly, again, I don't do fetish stories. Have no interest in it.
Minnie's chest size:
Once had someone tell me I should give Minnie a bigger chest. No. I won't. I write about Minnie being flat chested and small because that's her body type. I've seen art, and even read other fics, where people give Minnie larger breasts. Again, this is a fetish, and for some reason, some people think she's more attractive with a bigger chest. I write about Minnie being small because it's her body type and it's natural to her. No, I will not give her a larger chest. She'll always be flat/small in my stories. I won't change that.
The mice and other relationships:
This is another thing people do. I've seen it in art and read about it in stories. People having the mice break up, cheat on one another and hook up with other characters. Again, may be your thing, but it's not mine. I always write about the mice being together. I loathe the idea of cheating, and believe in loyalty and devotion. And so the mice will always be together in my stories.
These are sort of rules I have for myself and my stories. Rules that I have had in place for years and I won't change them. Sort of wanted to make this to also establish this. Anyway, take care and happy reading!
