So I'm actually still at the house. Today is going to be my last day here.
So what happened is we were supposed to leave on the ninth of this month. And then the realtor the buyers hired fucked up BIG TIME. There was a bunch of stuff he was supposed to do that he ended up NOT doing because he was pulling double duty (voluntarily) on two parts of this job, cut too many corners and ended up failing at both. As a result, we basically had to go through all the bullshit twice so he would actually file the paperwork, and it's still not all complete, which means we still haven't been able to close on this house. More than likely the closing will be happening in transit.
Mind you, all this was revealed to us AFTER we got the moving truck, and the day before we were supposed to be leaving. It's fucking annoying and infuriating, especially because he tried to blame US (specifically me) for quitting our jobs that week with the expectation that we were moving out of state the next day. We gave him a three day notice to get his shit together, and if the paperwork still isn't filed tomorrow, then the buyers lose the offer on the house and it goes to the next guy in line, and he'll be taken to court for financial damages.
So I'll be gone tomorrow. I'll post an update journal as soon as I get access to a computer and the internet again.
