I'm now avaiable for interactive story commisions!

by
So, yeah, for the first time, I'm offering commissions to anybody who'd be interested. So, what exactly is an 'interactive story', you ask? Well, if you want a small sample of my work, you can just click here if you want to see a sample of my work. This is just a small example, and there's no real challenge, but it gives a good example on how it plays and what your story will look like.

So, what makes these special, and different from regular writing, is that YOU are the main character of the story, and you can interact with the world in the way you want. Do you want to look at everything in the room? Do you want to choose what you'll say to the other characters? Go ahead.

I can make pretty much any feature request if you want, as long as involves words. I can handle stuff like combat, spellcasting, and... possibly images and sound, although you'd have to provide them.

A few ground rules:
1. I can't do art, so don't expect to see much of that unless you have some to give me.
2. I CAN do games with sexual themes. However, I won't do scat, watersports, vore, or death in a sexual context.
3. I can put scenes of blood and death and such in your story, but I'd rather not be overly detailed about it.
4. Original characters and settings only. I don't do fanfiction.

Also, here's some quick questions you can answer for yourself so you can get a better idea of what kind of story you want. You don't have to answer them all, but it would help.

1. How used are you to this sort of thing? If you're new, would you like extra features that make navigating easier? Do you want lots of hints?
2. Would you prefer more of a story, with lots of character interaction and storytelling, or would you like something more like a game, with puzzles and danger?
3. What is the main character like? How does he or she react to things? How does he or she treat people? Is there anything unusual about him or her, or do they have a special talent?
4. What kind of setting does the main character live in? Is it modern, sci-fi, fantasy, or something else? Where are the places he can go in this setting? Is there anything unusual about this setting?
5. Are there any other characters the main character talks to? Who are they, and how do they treat him?
6. What kind of tone would you like the game's story to take? Silly? Sarcastic? Or serious?
7. Should it be possible for the story to end in failure in some way? If so, should it be common, or uncommon?

As for pricing: This is a very early pricing system, and I may have to tweak it with each individual project, but so far, the prices are:

First 2,500 words of code: $5
Every 2,500 words of code after: $2.50

If anybody's interested, please be sure to let me know! I'm looking forward to bringing your stories to life. :3

Got any examples of roughly how many words of code go into what?  Because i've seen entire games' source engines in under 2,500 lines of code!

Well, the sample I put up is about 12,000 words of code, for reference. Of course, depending on what you want, all of those could go into a lot of different things. For this example, this particular sample focuses a lot more on dialogue, so there's huge conversations, a lot of different commands for getting more details on things, and more responses for things that don't work. You may, however, would rather those words go towards more rooms, more puzzles, and more complicated situations, instead. It's all up to you!

How complex would you be willing to go for a game?

Well, if you could PM me what exactly it is you're wanting, we can start from there.

this is very relevant to my interests.

i can't comission you right now, but i should be able to in the near future.

also, you mention no fanfiction, and i can work with that. however, my character is a pokemon; can you still use that if the setting, plot, etc. are unique?
