I might need Surgery on my Hand

So due to Covid I've officially begun doing Art as a fulltime job. It's my main and only source of income right this minute. However I've had ongoing problems with the tendons in my main hand (right hand) for upwards of 2-3 years now. So Naturally I needed to go look at getting this fixed if I plan to continue doing Art as a full time job.

This however did not end up as I anticipated. As I was aware of the fact that it is a tendon issue because I was diagnosed with Tendonitis some years ago from over exerting my hand during a learning course, I mostly expected the same treatment. Wear a splint, take these medications and you'll be fine in 2 weeks.

My doctor checked my hand and is very concerned with the findings, she hasn't given me much information because she wants me to see a hand specialist to get a full diagnosis. But right now I will either need physical therapy for my hand, or I will need corrective surgery. We are unsure how permanent or bad the damage is, hence the specialist, but I could either have Carpal Tunnel or severe tendonitis.

My hand is at a point where I cannot even open chip packets without pain, or write a sentence without hurting. So my abilities to function normally are severely compromised with my right hand right now.

I will continue to make art until I find out otherwise, I have gotten the go ahead and some medication to help me so that I can continue to draw and fill my commissions. So I will be drawing still and my commissions will continue to stay open to anyone interested in an image. But my work pace will be a lot slower to prevent further strain until I get more information.
