Would I be the asshole?

Say I animated an swf of a pic by another artist someone else commissioned.

I asked the artist their blessing to post it here on IB.

The artist gave me the OK but said I should ask the commissioner also.

Commissioner says no and artist says I should respect his wishes.

The piece is of his OC ,a (plane black rabbit) fucking a Disney character©️.

I was thinking, since the artist themselves didn't mind before I asked the commissioner and the commissioner dosn't own the female character , I could just draw another different rabbit in place of his.

So I have two questions
1. Would I be the asshole here?
2.Would I be breaking any IB rules if I do post it?

editing without permission would make you the asshole.

Perhaps. If you were the artist, would you be upset even though you gave me permission initially?

Permission to post is one thing. Editing is another thing.

The artist dosn't seem to mind ppl editing their art, more they're simping for the commissioner because HE said no.
Would I be breaking any IB rules though?

Technically its art theft because its technically tracing.

If you were to reference the image instead and make one of your own from scratch instead and give props to the artist as the inspiration for the image then that's acceptable from what I understand.

So yeah hope this helps

The artist themselves gave me permission initially. It's the commissioner that's turning down the free art. Part of what I'm asking is if the commissioner is "ORIGINAL CHARACTER DO NOT STEAL" should I just make a new rabbit in his place? It's literally a plane black rabbit with coloring on his ears, so I was just thinking change the fur and hairstyle.

Its not the artist who will raise the stink, its the commissioner of the artist, he will say you stole the art he paid for yadda yadda, so its best not to go thru with it even if you change it

Yeah, I made one. Just hope they're on my side. The artist already got payed for art of a copyrighted character and the commissioner would be getting it animated for free. If he doesn't want his sona to be used without his consent, I can easily draw another rabbit in his place.

I hope so. I can make gifs with flash or clip-studio, but I prefer interactive pieces to MP4/WEBM.(I hate rewinding)
